Rose was on a mission. She had tried to be patient, but it had all but run out! It was time to take matters into her own… way!

"That darn Jolin! He promised me a family, and gosh darnit, ah'm gonna have myself a little one to call mah own!" With most of the village being worked on still, she knew she could find Missy in Merlot's Castle.

Sure, she had been warned in the past about venturing too close; being a dragon type, with perhaps an added bonus of being shiny, but this would not deter her from her mission! Besides, the Mistress of the castle couldn't be too bad. She had rooms prepared for the displaced pokemon.

Now, Rose was an easy going, sweet tempered lady. But with how fast she slithered through the forest, kicking up dust and dirt alike, one would fear she was just on the border of letting loose dragon rage. Thankfully enough, that was a move she did not possess!

Upon reaching the castle, she took in a few deep breaths to calm down her nerves. "Fathuh always said tah nevuh go tah bed angry with the wohld…" No one wants to let some crazed dratini adopt an egg or a child either! So she settled down and took in a few more deep breaths; idly rubbing collected dirt and foliage from her sleek
body onto nearby boulders. It was about time that she shed her skin anyway.

"Now that that's taken cahe of, ah believe ah can go in nice n' presentable tah Ms. Missy!" With a happy hustle and bustle, Rose made her way inside the castle's walls, extending her greetings to all she passed. The shrill screams of joy that accompanied children were like a lit pathway; she needn't ask for where the kids dwelled.

She raised the end of her tail, balled it up, and gave the door a few good knocks. "Ms. Missy? It's Rose from The BlackHats. Might y'all let me in?" But instead of the Blissey, a tiny little igglybuff opened the door.

"Well bless mah heart! Hi thehe lil' darlin'-"

"Eeeeeeek!! It's a monster, it's a monster!!" The child screeched before running off in a fit of giggles.

"W-well then…" she sighed, but kept her smile. Kids will be kids. The serpent slipped into the room, immediately being climbed on as she trudged her way over to the Blissey.

Missy had just gotten a small portion of children to calm down, and she was certain she heard someone address her. "Oh yes, hello Rose- yiiii!" The Dratini was absolutely covered in children, squealing and squabbling atop her head and using her body as a makeshift slide as well. "That's enough boys and girls! Oh dear me, get off of Ms. Rose!" A chorus of rhymes resounded about the room, and soon the young things were off of the dragon.

"Phew, I'm so sorry Rose! They just get so excited!" The egg shaped creature made her way over with a bit of a calming hum. "Now what can I help you with?"

"Well, ahm planning on adoptin' one o' these dahlin' children!" She stood strong and proud on her belly as her tail flicked about.

"Oh, just lovely! How wonderful! Well we have some eggs for you to adopt, as well as some-"

"Mama!" A trapinch scuttled over, bumping into the dratini's side.

"Oh dear me!" The Blissey flustered, reaching down and waving her paw about. "Now now sweetie, you need to wait until Ms. Rose makes her decision!" She glanced back up to the violet serpent, only to find her eyes sparkling like diamonds.

"Ah, Ms. Rose…?"

"Ah'll take him!" She coiled about the trapinch, giving him affectionate nuzzles on the head. "He's a downright chahmin' li'l boy!" The Trapinch wiggled, happily snuggling into her embrace.

"Sunn' Day! Sunn' Day!" Outside, it strangely grew noticeably brighter. Sun beams poured through the window, and down onto the child. He gave a content smile and rested.

Missy spoke up. "He really likes to use 'Sunny Day.' I hope that isn't an issue."

Rose shook her head, her eyes smiling. "No, it's ahll right." She gave the young one a slight nudge. "Now dahlin', now's not the time tah be sleepin'! We've gotta head on home now." The Trapinch gave a content sigh and a nod of recognition.

But most importantly, the little tyke needed a name! So before they left for home, Rose brought her head down once more to give her son a kiss on the cheek.

"Ah think ah'll name you, Adam."
